I know these pictures seem kind of random, but  I'm actually posting them as part as a challenge. The challenge was to put together an outfit with pastel colors. Although it is not an "outfit" per-se, I did follow this spring/summer trends requirements for this challenge. The story behind this dress is that my husband is military (reason for the formal military uniform), and this month they held a Military Ball. When I began "dress hunting" I was really frustrated because I wanted the perfect dress. As soon as I laid eyes on this dress y was completely in LOVE. I did not even care if it fit or not, I knew I wanted it!! And so it was, the perfect match. I did have to fix the bust and the hem (since I'm only 5'5 ). I don't think I have ever planned so much around one night, let alone a dress. Every little detail, as crazy as it sounds, had some effort put into it. The hair, the make-up palate I wanted to use, shoes, handbag, accessories, mani/pedi, EVERYTHING!! The result: I felt exactly as I wanted beautiful, classy, yet in style. I paired the dress with some nude peep toe pumps (which are not seen because of the length of the dress), and simple gold accessories. Gold cuff with a hint of pale purple accents. Needless to say (like every other girl that has tried on this color) I am OBSESSED with this mint/turquoise-ish color. I have just purchased a pair of cropped pants in this same color, that I cannot wait to wear !! :) 

Me and hubby had a great time, and the best part is that I felt really pretty all night long!! I will definitely be wearing more pastel colors this season. Colors make me feel happy!!! I cannot express how much I wish it was summer already, considering I am from Puerto Rico and hot temperatures is what my body is used to... Plus, I am in need of the beach ASAP!! Hope you have a fantastic week!!
